Recordings auto-delete

What's deleted, and when

The audio of a recording is deleted automatically two days after it was recorded. The deletion runs regularly in the background, so it happens within about an hour of the two days passing.

What stays

• The transcript
• The notes, action items and tasks
• The meeting's place in search, series and tags
• Voice data used to name speakers: To be confirmed

Listening back

For those two days you can play the recording in the meeting. Downloading it: To be confirmed

Don't keep audio at all

Settings → Privacy & data → Keep recordings. Turn it off and:

• audio already kept is deleted immediately;
• future meetings are still transcribed and summarised, but their audio is never stored.

One consequence

A failed transcription can be retried only while the audio still exists. After two days — or with Keep recordings off — it can't. See Notes didn't generate.
