Where tasks come from

Every action item in a meeting's notes becomes a task. meaty fills in:

Field How it's set
Owner Matched to a person when the name was said clearly.
Due date Only when a date was actually said in the meeting.
Priority High or medium when the meeting said so; otherwise low.
Status Open, done or dismissed.

Tasks can't be created by hand or reworded — they always reflect what the meeting said.

On a computer: the Tasks page

Tasks in the web and desktop app lists every task from every meeting.

  • Group by status, priority, owner or meeting.
  • Sort by created, due date or priority.
  • Tick a task done, dismiss it, change its owner, priority or due date.

On the phone and in the extension: Follow-ups

The Follow-ups tab in your library lists open tasks. Tick them off or change the owner there. A meeting's Actions tab is read-only on these surfaces.

Your changes stick

A task you've ticked stays ticked, and an owner you've chosen stays chosen, even when the meeting's notes are regenerated.
