Availability: To be confirmed

An API key lets a tool act as you — read-only — without your password. Keys are used by Zapier and the MCP connector. meaty has no general-purpose public API.

Create a key

In the web or desktop app: Settings → Developers → API keys.

  1. Give the key a name, so you know later what it's for.
  2. Copy the key — it starts with meaty_sk_. It's shown once. meaty keeps only a fingerprint of it and can't show it again.

You can have up to 10 keys.

Use a key

Send it as a bearer token:

Authorization: Bearer meaty_sk_…

Keep track of keys

The list shows each key's name, its first characters and when it was last used, so you can spot one you no longer need.

Revoke a key

Delete it. The next request using it is refused.
