# Get around your notes

*Updated 2026-10-20*

Open **meaty.me** in a browser on your computer and sign in. Everything you
recorded — on your phone, in Chrome, or on the desktop app — is here.

The full layout needs a window at least 900 pixels wide. In a narrower
window, meaty switches to its phone layout.

## The sidebar

| Item | What's there |
|---|---|
| **Meetings** | Your library |
| **Tasks** | Action items from every meeting — see [Tasks](/docs/tasks) |
| **People** | Everyone meaty has heard — see [Speakers and people](/docs/speakers-and-people) |
| **Templates** | The note layouts — see [How notes are made](/docs/how-notes-are-made) |
| **Integrations** | Calendar, Slack, Notion |
| **Settings** | Account, plan, recording and privacy settings |

Below them: your **Series** and **Tags**.

## The library

Meetings are listed newest first. Group them by **Date** (the default),
**Type** or **Series**. Finding a specific meeting is covered in
[Library and search](/docs/library-and-search).

## Inside a meeting

| Tab | Contents |
|---|---|
| **Summary** | The notes |
| **Actions** | Action items with owners and due dates |
| **Transcript** | Everything said, by speaker |
| **Chat** | Ask questions about this meeting |

Beside them, a **Notes** pad for your own notes.

## Recording from the web app

Click **Record**. meaty asks **What are you recording?**

- **A meeting** in a browser tab — needs the
  [Chrome extension](/docs/install-the-extension).
- **A voice note** from your computer's microphone.
